The Contender: The Game of Political Debate : ウィキペディア英語版
The Contender: The Game of Political Debate

''The Contender: The Game of Political Debate'', a social party game using cards, was inspired by real presidential debates. To win you must use facts, attacks and distracts to convince the Moderator that you are fit to lead the free world. In the same genre as Apples to Apples and ''Cards Against Humanity'', the deck brings you hundreds of one-liners based on real presidential quotes that you'll combine to beat your opponents with. No political knowledge or improvising is necessary as players take turns debating an issue drawn from a deck of Topic cards that cause combining phrases from the Argument cards, creating the most convincing or entertaining argument. The goal of the game is to win the debate, not to outsmart people with actual knowledge of government. The game's development originated from a successful Kickstarter campaign, receiving acclaim for its simple concept backed up by its satirical, mature content.
==History==
''The Contender: The Game of Political Debate'' was created by John Teasdale and Justin Robert Young and designed by Meg Paradise and Faun Chapin of the game company known only as: Guts & Glory. This game began in Jan 2015 with Justin and John: game designers, friends, and fans of political theatre. Justin a S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications alumni and a former editor-in-chief of The Daily Orange, approached John with the idea to make a game that is easy to learn and lasts around fifteen minutes. John had been pondering a game that sounds like a debate when played. Twenty minutes and two burritos later, they had a theme: Presidential Debate.
